4th July Fun in the Rain!

Since it rained the 4th of July for our town we didn't really do too much. We did get out, but I feel it would have been a busier day had it been nicer out. We got some much needed rest that afternoon though!

We started out the day at my Mom's for breakfast. She made a "Aunt Michele" breakfast. Which consists of one of those yummy Jimmy Dean breakfast packages and you just add eggs. She made some sausages that Lukas called hot dogs, but they were so good!!!


By the time breakfast was done it was raining pretty hard. So we decided to skip going to the parade, but watch some of it from my Grandma's window. Lukas was still pretty tired so he cuddled with one of Great Grandma's blankies. We got to visit my Aunt Michele since she was in town too!










Then that evening we got together with Gary (Chris's cousin), Jessie, and the girls. We ate some yummy grilled chicken, potatoes, and salad. Delicious!!! The rain had finally stopped about an hour before the fireworks, which was lucky! So we went down to watch the fireworks. Lukas had a great time at the "fwaworks" (that's how he says them.) Grandma and Grandpa Knutson came and watched them with us too!
