Our small town had some flooding this last Friday due to the fall monsoon we had. You know it's a lot when your two year old takes notice and it shocked to see water in roads and in places he isn't used to. We did get some in our basement, which honestly was no fun! Well that was nothing compared to some how got feet of it in their basement we only had enough to make the carpet wet and the rest of the floor wet.
Friday I had to leave early, because Lukas's daycare was closing early. The water by their house was coming up fast and they weren't sure if they were going to get water in their house. The didn't thankfully, but got lucky this time. They have had water in their basement before. After I picked Lukas up he kept repeating "water Mama, in road." "Truck drive in water in road Mama." He was so shocked to see water where it normally doesn't exist.
It was neat to see how observant he was being, but it was unfortunate that our town had flooding again. The same places get flooded over and over. They need to do something to help those businesses and houses in those areas.
